How do you know you're famous? When everyone is talking about you, or in this day and age, looking you up on Google.
For ESPN’s fourth annual World Fame 100, each athlete's most searched moment worldwide is identified, as measured by Google Trends. This includes 800 of the biggest names in sports, drawn from 78 countries.
The athletes are then ranked based on a formula that takes into account three fame factors: Search Score, Endorsement Dollars, and Social Media Followers.
